Venus
Ophelia and Venus have been best friends since the beginning of high school. In grade 12, they began a romantic relationship. They are very in love and work well together as a team, often getting into small adventures and helping each other solve problems. Ophelia is teaching Venus how to bowl, since Ophelia is a great bowler. They can get very competitive, but it's all in good fun. Ophelia often represses her emotions; she trusts Venus more than anyone else, and opens up to her more than anyone else, but there are still some things she can't tell her.
Alan
Ophelia and Alan met in grade 10, when they had the same English class. They were partnered for a project and became friends shortly after. The two of them both have an interest in literature, especially experimental fiction, and sometimes write together or critique each other's projects. Alan is the only person who Ophelia allows to read her novel before it's done. She's great at giving criticism but not so good at taking criticism; she understands its importance, and considers all the suggested changes, but it hurts her feelings. This can occasionally strain things with Alan when they're exchanging criticism, since Ophelia views her characters and stories as an extension of herself.
