at first glance, antonia does not seem like much, an unkempt appearance that spoke of her lower status in society and an unsophisticated manner of speaking that was a far cry from charming. not many would think to associate her and her reputation was not any better; a thief was hardly companion material. however, to the people who know her, they'll tell you the woman is not so black and white, the journey she's come from tells people of her hardworking nature, how she's struggled to make a place in society for herself. she's a fighter through and through, dedicated to her goals and beliefs, refusing to back down; her compulsive nature gets her into much trouble but at the same time it speaks of her courage to face the unknown.
that is not to say she is then the perfect soldier, for she's stubborn to a fault, not caring of where she stands in society as she questions orders left to right. she's crass and blunt, aggressive to almost all who dare to approach her. she learnt distrust thanks to the streets, skeptical of all she meets; she will question your entire being. an individual who judges people harshly is who she is, she paints a picture in her head of how she thinks a person is and judges them based on her imagination alone.
destruction follows in her wake and her competitive nature to never back down does not help, only fuels the fear of those who know her name. they will say she's a rebel, that she is selfish and rotten to the very core, and they will not be completely wrong; because antonia will do whatever she can to fulfill her goals, will make sacrifices and step on others to protect her own and carve the future that she desires.
