Newt Moon

Appearance

Newt is an 18 year old young adult standing at 5’6” (170 cm) with rich gold coloured hair and grey blue eyes. She wears her hair in two twin ponytails in reference to Sailor Moon, having tanned skin; although tan, Newt is still prone to getting sunburn easily. She has freckles that covers her cheeks, nose, shoulders and her thighs that appear a lighter colour to her skin. Newt sports a dark moss green sleeveless sweater with a summer green hood, matched with tawny orange shorts. She wears a pair of seal brown boots with a fire brick red lining on the front of them, being slip on boots with no velcro or laces.

Personality

Newt has a free spirit personality when it comes to experiences she’s knowledgeable about, she isn’t afraid to come to the aid of her friends and family. Creative in nature, she puts her creative mind in creating dolls of some of her favourite characters from shows she’s watched. Newt can also be the biggest procrastinator, as shown in some of her school work and tending to show up late to things due to sleeping in. She can also be rather forgetful at times, mostly in terms of school work and things she needs to be doing. Newt can be insecure about her goals and capabilities trying to aspire to be just like her cousins.

Background

From a young age, Newt has always looked up to her older cousins and even tried to mimic them when she was young. Especially with that of Cardinal Rosewind, spending most of her childhood growing up with her and her sister Jay. She has always been around Evomon growing up and at the age of 6, she started helping out at the Rosewind Moon Bird Sanctuary with the rescued Bird Evomon that reside there. During one of her times helping her father clean out a new enclosure area, she’d come face to face with an aggressive Wolinter. Ever since the encounter, Newt has an extreme phobia of Arachnid Evomon where she’ll freeze up or scream upon the sight of one. She’d become friends with Raven Sunne and Jess Lyko in Kindergarten and kept the friendship all throughout their school years up to graduation.

It was Newt's idea in having Raven dye her hair a maroon red colour when they were in high school, however, was too nervous herself to change her hair colour. She’d gone more into a creative streak after seeing Raven’s artworks to where she started her works on her dolls and taking tips in painting from Raven. Newt had also taken up drawing for a period of time thanks to Cardinal when she drew from time to time as a kid. Newt had started taking up in wanting to become more like her cousins once they’d started achieving high Handler status with Cardinal becoming the next Grand Evomaster.

Upon graduation at 16, Newt had become determined more then ever to travel every region and achieving the goal of becoming a strong Handler like her cousins. She chose to take extra classes to be extra prepared for her travels for two years, being 18 upon her second graduation which her friends had followed along with her not wanting to go without her. Newt was determined to make her plans about travelling the Candea region a big surprise at the next event, but had missed the time due to sleeping in and was left without being able to pick an Evomon.

Cardinal had brought Newt out to catch herself an Evomon in Ridge Forest, using Raven’s Aco; captured herself a wild Blue. However currently, their relationship is near non-existent.

Humans

Aloe Moon – The mother of Newt, her relationship with Aloe varies but for the most part they’re on good terms. Aloe wants the best for Newt and hopes her dreams come true, being primarily the feed checker at the Rosewind Moon Bird Sanctuary. She owns a Blike named Luna.

Nickel Moon – The father of Newt, he help with the heavy lifting at the bird sanctuary and has brought Newt countless times when she was younger with him. He owns a St.Blizzard named Finn, which followed Newt around often which makes it seem like Nickel doesn’t have an Evomon at all.

Lotus Rosewind– The aunt of Newt, Newt has a close relationship with Lotus as she feels she can talk to her about things she’s having trouble with. She owns a Gosiam named Cochise and a Pheenie named Phoenix, which Newt has grown up with Cochise. Lotus works as the bookkeeper at the bird sanctuary.

Ginkgo Rosewind – The grandfather of Newt, she had a very close relationship with Ginkgo along with her cousins. His love of bird Evomon is what started the Rosewind Moon Bird Sanctuary in Thundore Bay, she’d ride in his truck with her cousins to watch the Furnaver building their dams in Ridge Forest.

Cardinal Rosewind – The second eldest cousin of Newt and the Grand Evomaster of Candea, Newt has a very close bond with Cardinal. She aspires to be like her although occasionally gets roasted by Cardinal, their closeness can be said they’re like sisters. Cardinal helps Newt capture her own Evomon in Ridge Forest when she fails to obtain one at the event.

Jay Rosewind – The fourth eldest cousin of Newt and the Squadron Chief in Amarizai, Newt has a mutual bond with Jay. Jay being the one to tell Newt to be something for herself and not try to copy off of the four of them, she had also suggested getting her an Evomon from Haley but respected Newt's wishes not to get special treatment.

Iris Havekol – An aunt of Newt, relationship unknown. Mother of Wolf and Kat Havekol.

Wolf Havekol – The eldest cousin of Newt, being the original Grand Evomaster before Cardinal took his place taking on the fifth Evomaster rank. Wolf is like a big brother to Newt, helping her out when she needs it. Wolf isn’t around much as of recent years, although he comes to visit once in a while.

Kat Havekol – The third eldest cousin of Newt, she doesn’t have too close of a relationship with her.

Vynce Pollock – Vynce Pollock was the main teacher to Newt during her years in Evoschool, whilst he’s also the professor who looks into and researches about Evomon behaviour, typings etc. Vynce was always there for Newt when she was having a rough time and always encouraged her to do well in her studies. He would also defend Newt along with his other students religiously but was no stranger to telling Newt what she had done wrong. Newt has a lot of respect for Vynce as she takes his word to heart and tries her best to make him proud.

Raven Sunne – Newt's childhood best friend, she met Raven in kindergarten when she’d stayed indoors on recess. Their friendship bloomed from there, Raven being much more shy compared to Newt as she brought her a bit more out of her shell. Being the one who got Raven to stop hiding behind her hair, Newt always came to her aid.

Jess Lyko – Newt's best friend, she also met Jess in kindergarten during her first attendance to the school. Jess was more lenient into keeping to herself for the most part, she’s rather outgoing otherwise but can become indecisive in what to do. Newt and Jess bonded over their phobias over differing Arthro Evomon, making it their goal together to overcome them once they were old enough to travel the region.

Evomon

Finn (St. Blizzard) – One of Newt's first true Evomon companions, belonging to her father as a Publo. Finn evolved into a St. Blizzard due to the Evomon looking more approachable to younger children at the time, although when given the option to change into a Flareweiler later Finn still chose St. Blizzard because he could easily carry Newt around when she was younger along with keeping her warm. Finn follows Newt almost anywhere around the city, that he’s allowed in at least.

Luna (Blike) – Luna is an Evomon owned by Newt's mother, Luna doesn’t seem to really like Newt too much spending most of her time roasting her and making sarcastic remarks to her. But deep down somewhere, Luna does care about Newt.

Cochise (Gosiam) –Cochise is a Gosiam that is owned by Newt's aunt Lotus, being around since Newt was born. He’s rather mild in personality and laid back, despite seeming stand off-ish; Cochise will engage in play with younger Evomon. He doesn’t interact with Newt much outside of when she’s over at their home, but he won’t hesitate to come over for a head scratch or two.

Phoenix (Pheenie) –Phoenix is a Pheenie also owned by Newt's aunt Lotus, completely aloof in nature and tends to get in trouble mostly tripping over his own feet. Although he’s high enough level to evolve into his final evolution, he prefers to be small part because he’s easier to carry and his additional cuteness wins him some favours. His relationship with Newt varies from time to time, though, this is mostly due to his forgetfulness.

Humvivi – Humvivi is an Evomon that was owned by Newt's grandfather, having a very close connection to her because of this. Humvivi resides in Room A of the Rosewind Moon Bird Sanctuary where she lives, she spends most of her time resting or eating. She will come out when called, although blind, can still find her way to the one calling her.

Aco – Aco is owned by Raven Sunne, Newt has a mutual relationship with Aco due to Aco only follows Raven and has accompanied her all through school due to her shy personality. Newt sees Aco as another friend to her due to always being there as long as Raven has.

Foreco – Foreco is owned by Jess Lyko, rarely seeing her for the most part Newt has a questionable relationship with Foreco. Primarily due to Foreco always being in the pouch Jess carries around and Foreco only has eyes for Jess and tends to get nervous when not around her or having access to the pouch.

Mileber – Mileber is owned by Cardinal Rosewind, Newt had known Mileber since she was a Mye when Cardinal first got her. Mileber didn’t get along with Newt very well at all, being very aggressive in terms of her getting close. Throughout the years however, their relationship has gotten better and the two are a lot closer. It makes Newt sad to see Mileber having become so old because of this.

Cybotrich – An Evomon that resides at the Rosewind Moon Bird Sanctuary, Newt doesn’t have a relationship with Cybotrich outside of work related. Due to Cybotrich primarily working as a guard Evomon, chasing off any predators that get into the Sanctuary.

Blue – The Evomon Newt captured in Ridge Forest, Blue is defensive and wild in nature willing to lash out and bite whoever tries to grab or come near him. It is currently uncertain how this relationship will turn out...
