1/1/17. Nixie based off a mantis shrimp. Doesn't have a nose. Has some extra tiny legs because shrimp.
Terra has been a slave pretty much her entire life, but wasn't really aware of it because she didn't know any different. She was treated well and didn't really question what was going on. Mainly, she was just a status symbol. One night, though, her master was robbed and the thieves took her as their grand prize. With such a colorful and active Nixie, they figured they'd get a pretty impressive price for her. So, they took her to a black market, which just so happened to be the one where Sehnen ran his business. At the time, she wasn't selling. People were just coming to admire her, musing over where they could put such a large trophy. So, for a while, she was just hanging out in a small tank. During this time, Leviathan had been coming down to help and learn some things from his father. The Nixie caught his eye (and his breath), but he had no idea what to do about it. So, sort of chickening out, he just awkwardly would make excuses to walk by her tank so he could catch a glimpse of her. Eventually, someone did buy her, leaving the distraught goblin behind. The people who purchased her had intentions of putting her in an aquarium, but until they could get things set up to move her there, she was kept and guarded in an abandoned one. After milling around the idea for a good long time, Levi finally decided to track her down. This took longer than he expected, but he did manage. Much to his dismay, though, some other band of traveling heroes had beat him to it. The aquarium where she had been was emptied out and there were too many clues there for him to have been wrong in his search. Worn out and somewhat irrationally upset, he moped around the area for a few days, procrastinating on going home. Before he managed to pick himself up off the ground, he noticed some odd activity in the lake right next door. It took him quite some time to investigate, as the water was deep and he had no intentions of going down there, but he eventually found that the Nixie had just been plopped in the lake. She was pretty cautious and a little scared after being left in a strange place and since no one seemed to be coming back for her, she didn't know what to do. Levi'd already been away from home far too long at this point, but he "had" to stay longer now. Terra came up at pretty uniform times throughout the day, checking for people, so he noted the times and eventually made sure she could see him when she popped up. She was a bit startled by his sudden presence, but he pretended to ignore her and made no sudden moves, so she eventually started to swim closer. It took a few days, but she started to talk to him. She mentions that she'd like to live in the ocean, she thinks, because she heard that's where Nixies are supposed to go. Levi agrees to help her with that, but this ends up being a huge pain in the butt process that gives him more than enough time to become firmly attached to her
