A pureblooded vampire, from a line of purebloods. The Vanadiums, an ancient name, powerful and long running. Prominent influencial members of teh aptly named Vampire Court. A dying breed, with more than enough pressure from his family and the ever changing vampire and growing supernatural courts to be someone. Unfortunately for them, he never had much ambition. Driven from a young age, sure, a hard worker, but never enough(for his family). He did not strive to change the world, be a figurehead, or anything of the sort. He held an awkwardness of the old days, smooth and precise with his words as his father was but lacking an inherent ability to socialize with people. Reserved and independant, it was apparent before he was 20 that he was just mediocre.Content to coast the middle and not become a figure head. Unfortunate, for the loner had alot of power from his family name alone.

Hope glimmers for his proud family when he begins his first genuine friendship with a werewolf, a man named Ivan who was a prominent member of the up and coming all inclusive supernatural court from the east known as 'Golden Imperials'. The bond was personal and stretched decades, the two practically grew up together after meeting in their 20's. Eventually Ivan was invited to live with him at his manor instead of having to travel to and from the mansion and his birthhome, and for the Vampire Court and the Golden Imperials to officially merge,which both had discussed for a long time. The courts were well known allies in dealing with all forms of supernatural problems and rights movements, and it was only fair that the two merged under the leadership of two long term allies and friends. Especially with the weakening of the Vampire Court as its pureblood members continously kept turning up dead.

The courts merged, and with it revealed decades of planning and undermining. During a banquet held at dawn, the Golden Imperials struck. In an attempt to gain political favor they staged a violent coup, in which olden Imperial members delivered the closest to killing blows one can land on a vampire while simultaneously throwing back the curtains and/or dragging vampires out of the mansions into the sun to kill them. Upstairs, Ivan celebrates, pouring them both drinks that only one of them can actually ingest. Things turn as they reminisce, sharing tales of their friendship both personal and political when Ivan strikes-A sword through the abdomen and the curtains torn down in a matter of seconds. His brain misfires, he can't think he can't breathe he cant-Ivan is saying something, coy and cocky and holding a bloodied sword he intends to use again. Ivan doesn't expect a fight, but he gets one. Grievously wounded as he is, he manages to knock Ivan out with a blunt object from the desk, before he drinks from the corpse, draining all the blood he can before dragging himself to the corner away from the sunlight.Downstairs, a local pack that lives within the woods near the manor intervenes, saving, subduing, and ultimately saving The Vampire Court from either complete destruction or near.

He is found, alive in the corner of the study days later as Jeremiah of The Vampire Court seeks him out as he was not seen in the death tolls nor the survivors--This marks the start of a new stage. Quiet but gentle vampire is replaced with an untrusting wary shell, secluded off in his manor and only occassionally leaving. Surrounding himself with books and communicating only via letters(emails, eventually), and necessary appearances for the court. Seculuded of his own volition for two decades, before he heads into the city to catch a movie, a modern delight he would indulge in every few years. And he meets this weird werewolf that keeps staring at him in the theatre...
