COBWEB

HORSE . age UNKNOWN . HE/HIM . DEMIHET.

Cob, or, rather, Crow's Call, is a bit of a legend in his area. The small coastal town is quiet, sleepy and old; perfect for the ancient stallion, but not for the people. He torments their dreams, often appearing as something similar to a kelpie. He lulls them into peaceful tranquility as a beautiful grey Gypsy Vanner, then, as they are developing trust, he becomes a skinny, retched creature with a thirst for blood. He feeds off of their fear, growing more powerful with each soul that he crushes.

Background

As a horse, Cobweb was beautiful, charming and most certainly capable of great things. His owners and the other horses loved him, and fell into his deadly charm fairly easily. This lead him to be unbelievably spoiled and entitled; unsurprisingly, he payed the price for his awful behavior.

He soon began to act strangely, itching himself where there were no irritations, and wouldn't eat. His eyes became droopy, his pace slow and irregular - these were not usual for most diseases back in the day. His owners found out what was really going on after it was too late; a peculiar, luminescent worm had burrowed its way into his organs, eating him inside out. It had exited through Cobweb's side, leaving an awful, gaping hole behind it.
