Kopperfield has had an interesting journey in life. Appearing much older than his current rather dashing, bearded self. He was originally a member of an old herd that existed a few generations ago by the name of Dothvaki. This was a powerful warrior herd, made up of those who fought for others or just themselves. They would spar and train against each other. A signature custom of the herd was to never cut your hair unless you’d lost in an official fight, many members adjourned beautiful braids with stunning length and beauty. Kopperfield found enjoyment from this herd as he was a talented defender with his stone soldiers. However, he knew they could be more than what they were… with their strength, no neighbouring herd would be able to top their might. They could rule if they so pleased.
Of course, when this opinion was brought to light within the council, he was turned away and stripped of his higher titles… so he swore he would get his way someday… and someday later, with the help of his Shadow Lord, the arch-nemesis to the Dothvaki, the iron hoof was stomped down upon the herd and surrounding lands, leaving nothing but devastation in its wake. The power Kopperfield witnessed… was something he could follow indefinitely.

Descartes, the All-Knowing
[ The Deity ] Kopperfield proved his worth to Descartes many, many years ago as a former member of the Dothvaki, outcast due to losing a fair duel to Nashira. Refusing to cut his hair, a symbol of dominance and intelligence within that herd, he was cast out. Descartes himself was an extreme rival of the Dothvaki, wanting to claim their land back as his own, his sacred land. Kopp, now filled with rage at being humiliated by a former member, decided to move to the rival side. Using his knowledge of the herds grazing rotations and traditions, Descartes and Kopp carried out the plan to finish off the Dothvaki herd, splitting up the strongest members and murdering the rest. Nashira, who had been the biggest threat to both Descartes and Kopp, was sealed up within the Sacred Grove, left to rot within the strange forest to lose touch with her memories and her purpose. Since then, Kopp has served happily and willingly under the deity Descartes as he had proved his might by destroying those who wronged him.

Nashira, the Betrayed
[ The Arrogant ] Nashira and Kopperfield have an intertwined history. Centuries ago, while they both were members of the Dothvaki herd, Kopperfield was a bigheaded high authority figure and Nashira was an extremely gifted warrior, working her way up. Kopp could feel his position of power slipping with this up and coming mare, challenging her to a duel, one of ultimate dishonour, to refuse was the same as being defeated. Kopperfield fought bravely, using his stone soldiers to the best of his ability, though ultimately he was no match for Nashiras electricity. Kopp tried to reverse the agreement to the duel, refusing to cut his hair in defeat… he was forcefully cast out with no honour, with none of his stories of victory recorded. Their rivalry was forever intensified.
