Kore Boreassdóttir is the second-born daughter of Boreas Ouranos; the god of night and stars, and Khione; the goddess of frost. She has three siblings, her older sister Amerie and her two brothers Auron and Tyranos. Her elder sister, Amerie, was destined to become the Avatar of Frost, a symbol for the element along with the avatars of Air, Water, Fire, Flora, Rock, and Lightning. Because of this, her sister was always given much more attention than her and any of her siblings, and it made Kore spiteful. Throughout her childhood, Kore spent all of her time training to surpass her sister. She would often train with various gods themselves, and many would bestow powerful, beneficial runes onto her skin. Each was more powerful and painful than the last, and each time she earned a new rune, Kore would challenge her sister to a duel, which she would always loose, leading her to carve runes into her skin each time to try and win. Her family very quickly picked up on her self-destructive path, and tried to stop her, which only angered her more as she felt they looked down on her as weak, and so she continued on without the support of her family.

When Amerie met one of the infernal gods, Enfer, and married him, she relinquished her position as Avatar to live with him in the underworld. After this, Kore earned the role out of succession. Despite having the one thing she had worked her whole life for, Kore felt the hadn't actually earned the position, which made her furious that she hadn't been able to prove herself to earn it in combat. Kore continued to train, destroying her body with various runic magic along the way. The one rune she would never and will never recieve however is her own mother's rune; Isaz, rune of ice. Kore believes that this rune would be the key to victory against her sister, but her mother refuses to bless her with it, leading Kore to more harmful paths.

Along her journey into godhood, Kore came across an ancient dragon named Relzygos. The two believed they were in love, and eventually became betrothed to one another. During their engagement, they would concieve eight children. Despite the two only mating three times, one of Kore's runes of fertility caused her to have multiple children each time. The two didn't mind however, as they loved their children. What they didn't love however, was eachother. Out of loneliness, the two believed themselves in love, when really all they needed was companionship. The two eventually seperated before marrying, after which Relzygos took full custody and care of their children. Kore had no desire to keep in contact with them, and Relzygos had no issue being a single father.
