Not much is known about jens joining the Yiga Clan, just that he continued to recruit people by mysterious means for quite some time.
Him and whoever has the displeasure of being sent with him on missions are usually sent out in order to get them out of the hair of the Yiga Clan for a little while. jens always comes back with something (or someONE) they don't need.
