Kotaro Yamashiro

A young man on a journey to discover the truth behind his identity and familial ties. 

Kotaro descends from a small clan of artisans- the last of this ancient bloodline. The remote village he hails from is noted for their craftsmen and women. Kotaro was raised by his mother after his father's early death. He learned combat skills when enlisted in mandatory military service as it is customary in his homeland for each clan to send at least one member for service.

Spellcasting is his preferred method of combat, however he will unsheathe his blade if the situation dictates. Kotaro adorns himself and his weapon with many magical objects which he calls upon when necessary. He changes these up from time to time if he discovers a superior trinket, but tends to favor those passed down his family which they crafted over generations.

The more this young man travels across the lands of Lohnos it becomes further apparent he is different from his fellow countrymen and women. Even at a young age, he was treated different from his peers, though Kotaro could never point to what difference the adults saw in him. These differences were to be explained to him upon the day of his 25th. He cannot become a familial patriarch until the date comes. As is customary, all the knowledge of the family tree is passed onto the next patriarch. This was not meant to be however, as his mother faced an untimely death. Now the truth of his family's origins is known only to the gods.
