The CSOMUA

The Collected Stories of My Unfortunate Accidents

For some reason that's the name I gave the huge document containing all of my writing. And I like it.

And it fits absolutely perfect cuz damn -- that thing's a mess of snippets, loose threads and random beginnings.

Thought it'd be fun to maybe add some of that shit on here

I'm probably never gonna upload much more than this empty folder tho

I haven't thought of a shortname for it yet, but I'm thinking "The Cause of My-"

Common themes in my stories include:

  • An adult more-or-less reluctantly caring for a random child
  • No one knows how to fight. Noobs randomly swinging weapons around, getting hurt and panicking lol
  • Main character with some flavor of neurodiversity

(Almost) All my stories are in the same timeline, separated by hundreds if not thousands of years, following the lifecycle of magic as it ebbs and flows and change form though the ages, and as various magical creatures come into being and inevitably die out.
Humans are pretty consistent tho lol

Here's a random list of (some) of my stories cuz I'm bored lol:

Tenden

He's an alien who crashed to earth and he's got a big dose of depression lol.

Tenden: He's the alien. The sole survivor of a crew of about 620. He's a surgeon.

Lydia: Tenden's first handler. She was Tenden's first close contact. She taught him... English, i guess, and helped him get used to his new situation. She retired and Tenden now has

David: Tenden's current handler. He's cool, and you know it's a made up story cuz he treats Tenden's mental health problems with respect and take them seriously.

Green

It's a story about a cursed guy who dies a lot but doesn't die?

Green: The cursed guy. He is chosen to supposedly "absorb" all the bad luck in the village he lives, sparing everyone else. It doesn't work.
He also struggles a lot with impulse control and some more shit connected to the PTSD he's got from not being treated very nicely because of the bad luck thing.

Goldie: A longtime friend of Green's. He comes along and visits the village about every month or so. He braids Green's hair :3

Ding: A random child who tags along. They grow very attached to Green, and is the one who named the others.

...By the way in this world names are given, not taken, so people don't have or "own" names. So everyone has nicknames, more or less

Monster

My Precious Monster

I love her I love her I love her I love her
I love her I love her I love her I love her I love her
I love her I love her I love her I love her

monsters are ruling the world and humans are hunted for sport and clones are cattle lolol

the monsters are mostly indistinguishable from humans, only real differences are them being much taller and their hairline going further down their nape

And, you know, the claws and long sharp teeth spilling out of their mouths that they can show off whenever they feel like lol
They are able to completely control their face, being able to essentally turn off any outward showing of emotion, leaving them with a look of pure apathy and indifference.

The also have exceptional healing abilities. All they need to be fully healed within minutes, is a bit of delicious human hehe

Silas

This one is about psychic kids
It's essentially a home/summer camp for psychic kids/people. Teachers freelance and teach how to control and finesse their powers.
It's all paid for by some random rich person and anyone can come live there for however long they want to, for free.

Silas:
Silas has some really strong telekinetic powers that he can't really control very well, or at all. He also has some sort of telepathy, of which it's particularities aren't quite figured out.
He has like a kind of curse on him, he cannot consciously communicate in any way. It's unknown if someone did this to him, or if he accidentally caused it himself at a young age.
He was enrolled to the home under a false name, and no one knows who he really is.
No real effort has really been done to find out, because of the assumption he was dumped by uncaring parents, and prioritizing getting his out of control powers in check before starting to ask questions.
He has a friend/carer/fellow "student", whose name I've forgotten in this writing moment, who takes care of him.

The friendo I can't remember the name of lol:
He's telepathic -- being able to read the pictures in others minds -- and this of course helps with caring for Silas and the whole "can't communicate" thing. His range is about 300m.
He can also control minds; but that's a big secret that he's kinda terrified of anyone finding out, because then people will be scared of and mistrusting him.
This ability does however help when Silas has a meltdown and loses control, and makes sure that the damage to property and people is minimized.

Meriam:
A long time resident of the home and good friend of the above dude.
She is telepathic, reading words, and her range is somewhere around 3.5km.
She is funcionally deaf, as her head is constantly filled with the thoughts of others.
Meriam's goal with staying at the home is to learn to "turn off" her powers, or at the very least control it better and making her "bubble" smaller.

"Art":
I don't remember what his full name is, probably is Arthur tho.
He's telekinetic and eventually helps Silas understand his powers a little.
Art's goal with staying at the home is getting his life together, after getting kicked out by his family for being gay. Just staying in a calm and accepting place, and trying to figure out how to exist.

Owl

In this world there are magical animals that can talk, and hand out whatever curses they feel like for any minor/major infraction imposed upon them by passerbys.
They can speak, and are generally referred to as cursed animals.

Duck:
A non-human boy who's gotten cursed by a number of animals. I'm not quite sure what he is, somewhere between imp, kappa and fairy.
He's covered in feathers and has a beak, as a result from a curse he received from some bird after stealing its eggs.
He sold "his names" to a fox in exchange for a human form. The fox tricked him and yoinked the entire concept of names from Duck's brain. He kinda cannot process the sounds of names, and cannot replicate them, so he gives out nicknames to everyone. He can recognize the sounds though, so he understands who others are referring to.
Duck is a cursed animal, but as a side effect of being cursed he does not have access to his own magic. No one knows of this, as they simply see him as an unlucky (human) boy covered in feathers.
He is technically trans, but since he is an animal he doesn't really have a concept of gender. By his understanding of human gender-roles, he is a boy, and he does not understand how that may contradict or have anything to do with the shape of his body lol.

Lady & Mister:
A couple who takes in Duck after Lady randomly found him in the forest.
They name him Duck after the restaurant they run together, The Dancing Duck.
They have a semi-pet cursed white duck, no connection to the name of the restaurant, who comes around and hangs out occasionally.

Dog & Huntsman:
Huntsman is an old man who has a pub or something named The Dog And Huntsman.
He has a cursed dog that is his loyal companion.

10,000

This one's an adaptation I guess of one of my first stories.
I filled a notebook with bios of a bunch of silly characters, and two of them eventually evolved to have their own story :3

Star:
An intelligent alien child who borderline kidnaps a human child and they go on space-pirate adventures.
He ran away from home at an early age and is a missing child, among other things. Being a shape-shifter makes it pretty easy to hide.
He is a very yellow person, the original shape of his species is a large yellow kinda lizard-dog. He is very proud of what he is, his entire species is, and he wears all yellow clothing to symbolize this in his human shape.

10,000:
The human who was invited to space-adventures
He has a li'l glass bottle around his neck containing his current pet, a space-bear.
He's got some brain implant and some bullet thingies he can control with his mind

Purple:
The third recruit to the group, another human. She changes her mind pretty quick and wants to go back to Earth.

Cherry

The first story I started writing down on a computer, I think when I was around thirteen?
It's probably the story with the most developed cast.

It started as a story about a dead girl and a dragon/human girl.
I don't think either of them are in the story anymore lol.

Oh god i dont feel like listing the names in this story there are so many yet no fucking storyline

Dragons

The very first story I ever created when I was about eleven.
It has changed a lot since then, going from a group of I think eight(?) main characters to two.
There also kinda aren't any dragons in it it anymore?
