 Very few are taken in and only as means of giving birth in lieu of one of The Females being incapable. The young are then raised without the birth mother, and The Female raises the kit as her own. 

All leaders have taken on the title of Levi.

 Each cat as they gain rank relinquish their old names in way for their title.

Kits are not assigned names until their coming of age Ceremonies. However parents or children of outsiders are often secreted a name at birth and it's only spoken within the privacy of their own.
