. The Gods

There is one omipotent entity which oversees all of wolf kind; Lupus. Among the various packs, She is said to grant special gifts to those who are devout in their faith, and bestow curses upon those who slander Her name. Her mere existence symbolises life, death and rebirth, and her presence (or lack thereof) is rumoured to affect the morality of souls, determining whether a wolf is good or bad by nature and keeping in check the very balance of nature. Lesser, but no less important, deities include Lux; the child of light, bringer of the sun and herald of the day. Those 'chosen' by them according to pack lore are said to have golden fur, possess a hot temper, and have an inner fire which drives all that they do. And finally, Tenebris, the harbinger of night, and keeper of the moon and stars. Wolves 'chosen' by this god are said to be as black as night and yet as innocent and tranquil-natured as a newborn.

. The Wolves

Owing to humanity's recklessness; the wolf species was forced to evolve or die, and as such, they became changed. Some took to the sky like fledgling birds, others to the depths where more elusive prey lay in hiding, and others remained on land, honing their skills in order to protect what little they had left.
