A world long after man had destroyed one another in war. Life returns when a phoenix sacrifices itself, and its ashes mix with the blood of fallen man, creating the pheokin race. They live on the floating islands of Skyview, explore the regrowing ruins of Earth, and discover who and what has emerged from Earthgut to the surface world
