La Encrucijada

“La Encrucijada” is a story about Erythrina, who works as a miner. She maintains most of her nuclear family, as she is the one who has the better paid job and is the healthiest among them. Miner work is risky, and the substance she has to look for is known to be quite toxic.
She has the habit of exploring under the bridges, which is technically not prohibited, but very dangerous. There she meets Ceiba by chance, and ex-miner who invites her to join his rebellious group.

Their world has a strict social hierarchy. Similarly to the Estates of the realm of the medieval period, people cannot change their estate. You are born with a status and a limited option of jobs depending on the place you live.
The people of different estates live separated by islands or peninsulas, united by highly guarded bridges, where the exchange of materials and needs is given.
The poor working class almost never meets face to face with the high class and landowners. And the military makes sure of this.
