Omamori [お守り]

Omamori is generally translated as an amulet, or good luck charm, and comes from the Japanese word mamoru (守る ), meaning to protect.

Omamori charms are small colourful good-luck pouches which contain sacred inscriptions inside. They are commonly sold in Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples.
