I SAW THE FUCKING TIE DYE SPRINGTRAP PLUSH AT THE SUPERMARKET TODAY so I bought him

here is my exhaustive review and comparison of funkos springtrap plushies because i can

0C882410-B5B1-4098-8869-9263C5972EA7.jpg

ok so first of all, the tie dye spring trap is a brand new pattern funko made just for their horrible tie dye collection. his face is more round than the original release, the og one has a dart at the top of the forehead which gives it two sharp corners that end up making the face appear more square and defined. this dart Is usually where the eyebrows are placed on other plushies [i am pretty sure this has always been a remnant of funkos sanshee copies as their Bonnie does have this as well as funkos regular Bonnie, but not their newer bonnie plushies]. Their bodies are more or less the same although tie dyes stomach is much smaller and the body is overall narrower.

the quality of the tie dye plush is, pretty subpar. The plushie feels like something you'd win at a carnival. It's a slightly lighter plush made of inferior materials. It has a plastic nose which surprisingly the original doesn't have. Their original springtrap is one of the few plushies that doesn't have a plastic nose, rather it's fabric, and I do prefer that.  The string used for the wiring is a flimsier nylon, it does have one upside in that the ends won't fray and reveal any white cord [which is something that happens on the original, you could argue that it's more realistic as it looks like exposed wire ends but if it withers too much it's not the best look.]

Fabric is quite drastically different. the original spring trap is sort of, normal stuffed animal fur? It's very short and the same fabric is used for almost the entirety of the plush. The nose, eyes and  embroidered patches are a rougher fabric. The teeth are some sort of plastic leather with very thin printed on lines for the teeth. Tie dye here has longer fur for the main body, a shorter fur for the stomach/ ear patches/ gray on the Feet and hands and then a similar rough fabric for the teeth and eyes.

The whole plushie sort of feels like they've drawn on its fur with marker, it's ever so slightly sticky feeling? It's not sticky but it feels as if I'm gonna get marker residue on my hands after touching it. This is probably due to however in gods name they dyed this fabric. This might actually be because my hands are stupidly dry from my hand washing problem but I can't be certain?

Okay now onto main aesthetic? differences.

I will not be making a comment on the main body color as, well, it's a tie dye plushie and the fucked up color is sort of the whole reason this plush exists.

Ears, tie dyes are much smaller both In height and width. The lighter patches on the ears are also differently shaped, they're rounder unlike the originals which are more of a dart shape. The rounder patches are actually more faithful to springtraps design which you will see me say a lot.

This plush has a theme of being more accurate  at the cost of feeling lower quality, and the trend doesn't stop at just the ears. The withering on this bugger is all printed on fabric, the original had No printed fabric, it was all embroidered or sewn on fabric. The withering is definitely more accurate on tie dye [it's also on his mouth this time around] but you can't celebrate that when it looks like shit due to being  printed on. Also, this time around they skipped adding any withering on the back as the original does have a band that goes all the way round which is pretty neat.

What I don't understand is that they actually did do embroidery, both the exposed metal on the ear and the red on his feet ARE EMBROIDERED details whereas on the original they are both fabric patches.

For some reason tie dye has gray for the ends of its hands which is, interesting. Springtrap doesn't exactly have exposed endoskeleton hands so why they chose to change this eludes me.

He also has gray eyes! Now he can stare at you with game accurate murderous intent

In conclusion

Whilst the tie dye plushie can be considered more accurate to springtraps design, it suffers a lot in the quality department  and that ends up dragging it down. If ur desperate for an accurate springtrap plushie for whatever reason, tie dye has your back. Otherwise I would suggest just hunting down the original plush on eBay or whatever, I would argue that it's the better plush despite its inaccuracies. Also it's not horribly price gourged like THE FUCKING FUNKO SPRINGBONNIE PLUSH DESPITE BEING AN OLDER PLUSH. i got mine for 20 whilst tie dye cost me about 13. So there's not a drastic price difference.

have a random fnaf plush review

Posted 1 year, 16 days ago by Dave_Miller

I spent an hour writing a review and then safari crashed

So guess what

i get to write everything again

I got the hex x fnaf spring Bonnie and fredbear plushies today so here's my review because i just want to talk about them. I don't care that it's a year late

They're made of high quality materials, its mostly faux fur and minky. Fredbear gets a bonus felt hat and claws. The claws are cool because they're stiff fabric and therefore are quite sharp. Felt hat Is mid because felt will pill and become bobbly over time. They have different fur, Fredbears is curly whilst spring Bonnie's Is more velvety.

like Most fnaf plushies they have plastic noses. Unlike other fnaf plushies they have buttons for eyes as well as on their torsos. The thread for their eyes corresponds to the animatronics actual eyecolor [ie green and blue]. The buttons help achieve the plushies intended aesthetic of being homemade, extra stitching on their bellies also aids in this goal. The lack of embroidered details solidifies this [because that's time consuming without a machine and most amateurs don't have one either. they just like me fr].

fredbear is more accurate to the plushie in crying child's encyclopedia image. i like the ragdoll approach as its a good contrast to the marketable plushie approach of sanshees and funko [what I mean is that their plushies are supposed to look like something in universe fazbear entertainment would make, aka they're accurate to the ingame designs for plushies]

when compared to sanshee and funko plushies they are much larger and heftier. when sitting they are marginally taller than a sanshee, when standing they are 1.5x the size of a standard funko fnaf plush [this is excluding ears  and hats]

spring Bonnie comes with a pizza cutter, fredbear gets to become psychic friend fredbear with his walkie talkie. The placement of the magnets connects the accessory to the top of the hand rather than underside where the paws are. while this does end up looking better, it does bug Me slightly.

the magnets are strong, you can hug them and they won't fall apart that easily. They are annoying to make sit due to the placement of the magnets for the legs but once achieved they can sit upright by themselves. They are fun to articulate, mix and matching limbs is not as fun when the animatronics are almost identical.

pricing is expensive, however they are higher quality[than a funko], larger and contain magnets. if you are after fredbear or spring Bonnie specifically then it's probably the better option than getting lucky on eBay.

I've probably forgotten something whilst trying to write everything I previously said  from memory but overall I give them a 10/10. I like them and they feed my obsession, I am extremely sane about these characters. I definitely did not religiously check their tracking details every ten minutes. I am so sane about them.

now please look at them the sillies ever
