Terenne is relatively newly liberated from the totalitarian rule of the Pale Lords- an ancient dynasty of sanguisuge dictators once spanning the globe, though some argue they still pull the strings of society from the shadows.
Of course, this newfound peace did not last. Though a new system of elected rulers was instilled, the very systems put in place to prevent corruption soon fell victim to it all the same. Civil war erupts in Endholm, capital city of the continent of Eiral, the impacts of which can be felt all accross Terenne.
These volumes detail the struggle for the city, primarily fought between houses DelRyne and Calvus, and the many ripples this conflict sends throughout the world. A complex web of interconnected alliances, politics, relationships and rare magical elements all play a role in the war- and other ensuing chaos.
