"Monstrous Lake" is roughly what the name "Cainllyn" translates to, in honour of its founder. This country is a dark and forbidden land, primarily bordered by water which is host to a variety of beasts. The creatures obey the whims of the High King, a man who may have once been human. As a progenitor vampire, the king is a powerful and ancient figure, guiding his country of monsters, hunters, and lost souls. Very few enter Cainllyn, and even fewer leave it. It is a refuge for monsters and beasts of all sorts, hiding away from the advancing human world that seeks to end their lives.
