Hundreds of years ago, the planet of Prandor was invaded by the Darkstalkers, a parasitic race of shadow creatures. After centuries of battle, the Prandorians had triumphed in the first Never-Ending War: the Bleakwar. As a gesture of peace, the Darkstalkers left behind the Grim Chalice, a powerful artifact said to grant wishes. When the Chalice was finally discovered years later, Prandor was once again thrown in chaos. Seekers of the Chalice came from around the globe, fighting for possession of the Chalice in what would become the second Never-Ending War: the Grimwar.
