Articularias are a closed species founded by Mima.

They are space-traveling humanoids characterized by insect-like traits and very long lifespans.

There are two subspecies: Crafters, who possess a great amount of energy in their bodies and can use it to create things; and Shatters, who lack this internal energy but can absorb existing matter.

Articularias do not come from any particular country nor planet and can be found anywhere in the galaxy. A plethora of universes and dancing cosmos await them. Some spend their whole lives traveling the stars while others eventually find a home to settle in. There are even Articularias that have never left the place they've found themselves born in.

As for their origins, Articularias are descendents from an entity that is said to have created everything that exists, the Crafter of the Universe. There are only a few records of the existence of this being, and not much is known about it or how long ago it lived. Some believe the Crafter of the Universe existed billions of years ago and had a short existence for Articularias' standards. Others think this entity actually existed for millions or billions of years before splitting (the Articularia way of asexual reproduction) for the first time. All current Articularias are but a small fragment of the Crafter of the Universe after generations of splitting.

Articularias are also known for a variety of abilities and powers. Notably, they're stronger and sturdier than humans and are able to live for thousands of years. Despite having wings, they (usually) are unable to fly due to how (typically) small the mass of their wings typically are. Lastly, they do not need to eat, drink water, or sleep to survive.

They are born knowing a type of "universal" language, no matter where or what part of the multiverse they come from. Besides that, they can learn other spoken languages to further communicate with any existing species in the area they dwell in. Articularias are fast learners, after all.
