in an abandoned twoleg farm, a huge clan of cats once lived. due to the hostility of their neighbors, the clan lived very private lives. they developed their own ceremonies, and spoke to their ancestors on their own terms. the clan, one could even say, was thriving.
however, as time went on, more and more outsiders began to forget that oakclan even existed. they thought that the patrols they encountered belonged to simply a large group of loners, and nothing more. and perhaps, as their connection to the world shuddered, this is what snapped the final straw.
what happened in the darkest moon is not spoken of. and of oakclan, there is only one survivor. Maplestar was only an apprentice when the tragedy struck. The sole kit of Hickorystar now grown up, Maplestar has returned to the farm. He has sworn that Oakclan will be reborn, no matter what it takes.

Maplestar was just an apprentice when Oakclan fell. But even now, almost twenty moons later, he still has nightmares about that night. But when the spirit of your father pleads you to return home, to rebuild the clan well...what else was Maple supposed to do?
Slowly, cats begin to trickle in. The farm shows no physical sign that the tragedy ever happened. But as Maple rebuilds the clan, he can't help but see signs of the old clan flicker through.
