Hell's Famine

World based around demons who have been reduced to consuming each other due to a shortage of human souls.

Hell has become a wasteland thanks to advancements in human aging technology and a lack of superstition resulting in fewer soul-binding contracts. Through cannibalism they have realized they can become stronger and in turn grants them the strength to manifest themselves on Earth. They now walk alongside humans, unbeknownst to them, but to stay there they must continue to consume souls and fellow demons. Groups of demons have been forming to take down other, potentially stronger, demons in order to survive. In this world it's eat or be eaten.
