High School Blues
High School Blues takes place on an Earth where an Alien God has long since taken over, trapping or otherwise consuming the Gods of Earth and taking their places in worship. During World War 2, a new element was discovered, dubbed Alchemical Ore. It was used to craft nukes even worse than what had been used on Japan, and inevitably, the AI networks crafting the war dropped all the nukes.
Only, nothing happened. The nukes were little more than rudimentary missiles, leaving the world covered in Alchemical radiation. Soon the dead rise from the grave, humans begin to mutate, and chaos erupts throughout the globe. The AI assisted, cleaning up what was left and declaring the war concluded.
The world is now smaller and full of superpowers, winged races, and even the occasional undead outburst. America is split into counties, as not every state had survivors. The counties are far apart and not every one is up-to date to modern times.
We follow a group of Toddlers, Kids, and eventually Teenagers, Punks who are hated by their small town of Sunset Meadow, in Sunset Valley County. They'll fight evil, the government, each other, and especially the system.

The not very well liked Teenagers of Sunset Valley! Not all of them are friends, but all of them look out for one another.
They're the most likely group to try and get outsiders to flee the county, but equally the most likely to convince other teenagers to stay.
One of the few public schools in Sunset Meadow! Most every staff member is an NPC, so it's a bit hard to get away with acting out. Students here are well known for being a bit difficult, the school not having the best reputation.
While usually on the news in a bad light, the fact that at least 3 superheroes attend certainly boots the morale of everyone involved.

The NEW teenage delinquents of Sunset Meadow! They're actually much, much BETTER than the Punks, in the town's opinion. The cops don't have to worry about them much.
Well, aside from the fact that every single one of them is a NonDead Mutant Zombie.
The only surviving public school in Sunset Meadow! The staff here seems either very aware or very ignorant to the goings-on of the students' lives and the town's status overall. You'll commonly see students taking a test in Mr. Yurelba's math class while the whole town is on fire.
While people usually forget Whan'agett High School exists, it makes classes a safe haven for the youth of the town. It's hard to transfer to Whan'agett, as "Everyone Whan'agett in!"
