This is a world where Oni, demons who live in caves and eat humans, have all been extinct. But then, some families were cursed with half-Oni children. They're harmless, with the addition of horns, maybe a tail, maybe claws, maybe skin discoloration. But people fear them, in fear of being eaten. The Oni race is oppressed, dealing with belittling and abuse every day. The story follows a girl named Naomi, timid and nervous. She was adopted by Jared after she was born, who adopted 2 Oni before her, and 1 after her. Jared, Dino, Maru, and Sebastion are like family to her! They always travel in groups of 2 or more to avoid being attacked. Naomi goes to high school, where she's mostly an outcast. However, someone's had some eyes for her. Her classmate, the tough and popular Haruhi's wanted to appoach her for the longest time, she thought that Naomi was cute, and wished to be her friend. However was stopped by people who feared her. Eventually, Haruhi was able to speak to her, which opened up a new world for Naomi. Slowly, Naomi began befriending Haruhi's friends and was able to open up.
