Godfall Chasm
Godfall is a chasm with smooth walls of glass which was created by a divine weapon. During a great war, a god used a last-resort, his divine weapon. Striking it meant the end of both him and anything in the vicinity, but also the end of the war. He used it, and a large chasm was created like a scar of the god on the land. The chasm was named godfall, and those who honored the god moved in.
The higher walls of the chasm have white glass walls, while the deeper parts have black glass. Those who live higher in the chasm are blind from exposure to light reflected off the walls. The people do not speak, and instead communicate and navigate through clicking sounds and whistles. This is helpful both for the blind above, and for those in the dark below. When tapped, a sound echoes off the glassy walls that sounds like singing, and many believe it is the god who died and left this scar in the land.
The walls of godfall chasm have artistic cracks of dried gold resin within the glass walls, especially in the depths. Much of the art depicts the war, the fall of the god, and the creation of the chasm.
In the depths, a truffle-like called aroga that grows that is extremely valuable to those in the higher chasm. The people of the depths train animals specifically to find Aroga so they can make a pretty penny.
Chasm travelers are those who travel between the higher chasm and the depths, often delivering things, or hired to sell on someone's behalf. Travelling these routes are dangerous, but these travelers practice a form of mimicry. They trained themselves to know what sound every inch of the chasm makes, and in these chasms when you make the exact noise, the sound echoes off the wall it belongs to. It is an advanced form of echolocation unique to the chasms.
