The Nightborn Union's territory covers a vast expanse of land, primarily plains with trees scattered throughout. It is far from any unnatural light so the stars are clearly visible and bright all year round. A redwood forest borders the west side of the plain, which is where the base for the Union's operations lies.
The base is located in a dried up, overgrown riverbed where the grass, ferns, and trees themselves have grown tall enough to shield those that live there under a thick canopy of greenery. Mudslides from years before the area was located have caused the trees along the bank to grow diagonally over the gulch, providing further protection from the elements year-round.
