For many generations, the Pride of Endless Night was not recognized by the others as a True Pride due to it's rather unique ideals.  The Pride consisted mostly of maimed or "unwanted" lions who did not fit in or were incapable of performing the tasks required of a normal pride member.  Eventually, they developed their own skill set and become powerful healers, alchemists, and even began to produce great shamans.   Their powers were rivaled only by the skill of the Mandrill Clans.  At least until the Pride was attacked and left in ruins.  Only a few members of  the pride survived the holocaust and as a result became even  more reclusive and protective of its secrets.  During this time, Janna became the pride's figurehead and the tradition of succession began, passed down from Mother to Daughter.

The Pride of Endless Night is particularly known for their dark brown to red fur and most members have distinctly bright blue eyes although a few members have been known to have green or brown eyes.
