A traditional chashitsu in Kyoto, built in the Edo period.

It is referred to, by those mortals who have passed through its halls, as the tea house between worlds. Originally built by a powerful onmyoji of the period, it is said to be a place where the realm of youkai and human bleed into one another, and the the veil between life and death grows thin.

Over the centuries the tea house has received several expansions, allowing for housing of guests and staff alike.

Though once accepting exclusive clientele and under the management of one Kimiko Akahoshi, the tea house has since changed hands. Its doors now stand open to the public, on all sides of the veil, welcomed by a diligent staff. The owner, to the general public, remains unknown. If you ask, they will tell you the house is owned by the last kitsune.
