Mark of the East

BayClan was the first clan founded in the area. Made up of some descendants of the original cats that landed on the beach 45 years ago, they delight in looking good and catching fish that get close to the shore. They have many ceremonies involving the ocean and believe that is where their ancestors live. They also collect shells, feathers, and other pretty things to decorate the camp and their dens. Their apprentices seek council in the elders and the elders form a sort of council for even the leader to confide in. Though they're peaceful now, they have feuded with GladeClan in the past. But with Swanstar working to improve the clan and keep the peace, nothing bad has happened.

While BayClan was the first founded, CaveClan is the oldest of the clans. They migrated from further up the mountains thanks to the invasion and terror of mountain cats, and moved down to the caves at the base, where they would meet with the other clans and reform their lives to fit their borders around them. But they practice many of the same traditions, as having a cat who reads signs from gemstones called an Oracle. They also encourage to be secretive and distant from the other clans but they encourage emotional vulnerability around other clanmates. They also separate their warriors by strength and speed so they can catch bigger birds like hawks and owls.

GladeClan is supposedly the most ambitious and evil clan because of their history. Gladestar broke away from BayClan to build a clan in the nearby sparse woods. The clan is fierce and focused on cultivating the forest and reading the leaves that grow on The Great Tree. They take great pride in being able to climb trees and take pride in the health of their home. But with a history of bloodthirsty leaders, they are often stereotyped by the other clans. But with the recent downfall of Badgerstar and the position being taken by Loststar a time of peace has come for them. She leads with kindness and love for her clan.

GorgeClan is a clan not focused on battle but more on knowledge and history. The other clans often cooperate with them about tracking bloodlines and the history of how their clans were formed. They are the youngest clan and many of the cats are young and progressive, looking to change the world and change the code. This means that they can get in political spats with the other clans, but they try to also diffuse them. They encourage freethinking and original opinions even in new kits and apprentices. They have the most medical knowledge and any cat that is in serious trouble that the other clans can't handle, they often take them to GorgeClan.
