So, I had an idea for Christmas... But I got my idea too late, since it's a big undertaking I missed releasing anything for Christmas. However! I'm still going to work on it! When I feel it's ready for launch, I will let it loose! By then it may be a "subscriber appreciation" event rather than a Christmas event. If you haven't voted in the anonymous poll in my last bulletin, go ahead and do so! It gives me an idea of what sort of species I should put into the event! 

In other news, I'll probably open up some cheap commissions on and off this year, so keep your eyes open for a good deal on some quick turn-around art! :3

I had a little extra money and I was looking to support an emergency comm For sharing in the holiday spirit. They are in a rough situation, and has been for a little over a year now. I loved the commission I got from them, and they were super sweet and easy to work with! I will definitely commission them again when I have some extra cash again.

And this is the commission I got from them!

X'D I turned on my phone on my break and saw the date was the 15th. I don't have work tomorrow! Tomorrow will be my fourth wedding anniversary! The hubby has made dinner reservations for us at Rioz (an upscale Brazilian buffet, where the meats comes to you! a carnivore's paradise!) we went last year and left feeling like happy balloons. Idk what else we're going to end up doing, but we both took the day off to do whatever :P I've been so blinded by holiday crazyness I totally forgot what day it was, as Friday felt like a million miles away. 

Sometimes I'm confused by non-artist folk. 

To preface- I work at a Starbucks. I love my job! Coffee is my passion, and I don't care what anyone says- Starbucks gives more of a shit about their employees that my previous two jobs combined. Our founder came back to the CEO Staff to rectify the wrongs that happened when new new CEOs took over, and that's an honorable thing for an owner to do! Although Starbucks isn't my end goal in life, I don't see myself looking for another job any time soon. After all, I do want my own Coffee Shop one day- like a nerd lounge! with DnD Tables, board games, books, fun stuff like that! So I enthuse over any coffee shop experience! Especially the small business locations!

So we had a meeting at work yesterday, some Rah-Rah type stuff to get our staff energized- I guess- with company news sprinkled in. My bosses thought it would be fun to get us some dollar store wooden ornaments, glitter glue, and paint so we can have an employee Christmas Tree in the back room decorated with ornaments we made. Cute! Fun! I knew EXACTLY What I wanted to do, and that was to Paint Winter on an ornament! He is my Christmas Mascot after-all!

So I get done painting it, with much oohs and ahhs from my coworkers- many of which didn't know I could draw. It's not the prettiest thing in the world, not my best work by a long shot, but it's decent for dollar store paint.

One of my bosses comes by and enthused over my ornament
Boss: "Wow Britt! Did You Free-Hand That?"
Me: "uhh...? Yes? I don't have anything to trace here" *very confused*
Boss: "Oh! Cool! I wasn't sure if it came already pre-printed on the ornament!" 

*Me: What...? but... didn't you buy them...?*

Sometimes non-artist people confuse me with that question, especially when there was no way to not free-hand something. Happened A LOT When I was in school.
