Important Characters Appearing in my Project: Hell Hath Frozen Over

Lieutenant Colonel Ailita rose to her position fairly quickly during her service. She was looking to become the next Colonel easily, but as she grew closer to the top, she started to learn more of Anthra's military secrets, their plans, and how they would effect their own people as well as worlds around them, if not the entire Vanus System. When bringing her concerns up to fellow officers above and below her, she was met with scrutiny and questioned about her loyalty. Blindly following Queen Cynder's orders had been simple before, as she has believed she was doing her assigned tasks for the good of Anthra and the Scorian race, however she learned that was far from the truth. She tried to use her position of power to ask questions and point out the harm they were doing, but it quickly cost her not only her rank, but her friends and home, as it wasn't long before she accused of treason and she barely managed to escape the military she had served with her life.

Unfortunately for her, her ship was shot down by her pursuers, and she crash landed on Tuntur, a planet written off by Anthra as "too dangerous to land", and upon crawling out of the wreckage of her ship, she understood why. Tundra planets spelled sure death for any Scoria, who's normal climate averaged about 150F (65C). She certainly wouldn't be killed by her own people, but her body could barely handle temperatures below 50F (10C) Much less temperatures in the negatives. As the panic set in, a Lupaux scholar named Balakk came to her rescue, as she had essentially crashed in his back yard, and he brought her to his small lone cabin in the woods and did his best to warm her up, despite her stubborn arguments and weak struggles.

Glad to have rescued her and eager to learn about her culture and species, Balakk set to his studies. Until they could find out what to do for her situation, he needed to be sure how to provide for her. However... The rest of his village would not be eager to find a Scorian military officer in their presence.
