Yangguoh, a member of the Sparkfeet species (rabbit hybrids) lives in a society where everyone wears colored bands to represent their gender identity, so as to avoid confusion. For example, Yannguoh themself wears a yellow band (non-binary).

Life in the Elkir kingdom is great for the most part, save for the fact the current king wishes to demolish the braceleting system. His son, Prince Celoran, is the only thing between the king and the removal of the bracelets. For this reason, many queers, including Yangguoh, deeply appreciate Prince Celoran's efforts. Though Celoran himself is cisgendered, his soulmate, a powerful mage named Anjuah, is fluid (purple band).Though nearly everyone in the kingdom loves Celoran and Anjuah, they are well known demon hunters, leaving many bounties on their heads from demon tribes near and far. This includes the particular interest of the Prince of Shadows, Tyrian.

On one unfateful morning, what was originally a peaceful stroll through the town quickly turned into a dangerous demon attack, in attempts of capturing Prince Celoran. A trip, fall, and catch later, Yangguoh and Prince Tyrian discover a soulmate bond linked between them.
