Krakencasters
[Krakencasters are a Splatoon fan concept made by me (SparkyKinetic)]
Krakencasters are Kamabo experiments, combining the properties of the Specials Zipcaster and Kraken / Kraken Royale in attempts forge weapons out of the lifeforms Tartar deemed as "inferior". This is not a term used by the company, simply calling them weapons or weaponized Inklings / Octolings. The term is solely used by the Squidbeak Splatoon as a means to refer to Rora's alternative form.
Experimentation is a two step process of modifying the DNA, followed by sanitization.
They pose exceptional strength, and like Zipcasters, can extend their arms to stick, launch, and swing themselves from place to place. Their jagged beaks can tear through most things.
Outside of Kamabo means, the transformation is triggered through any weapons that have Kraken / Kraken Royale and Zipcaster. Krakencasters can wield weapons that have these specials, but if they activate them, their transformation triggers. If they have their specials charged, they will have the urge to activate them and exhibit a sudden feeling of being overwhelmed. If longer, they could experience hazy vision and be close to passing out.

Results often vary on the patient, meaning results are often inconsistent. Despite their best efforts to prevent these inconsistencies, project results ultimately are unpredictable.
Kamabo had no problems testing Rora, other than her occasional, but useless struggles to escape. Athena first step results gave the company a scare, as her first transformation test ended with workers killed in the process. Despite higher measures of security placed, her raw power and adrenaline helped her escape, preventing sanitization.
