The Madness Soiree

The Maker's Earth

The Maker's Earth is a version of the universe where monsters, mythics, and humans co-exist with each other. Mythical beings and humans shared a long history of violence and racism, which continues even to this day. Tensions constantly rise with the annual Madness Soiree- a political party for noble families to flaunt their wealth and special acts. This world is separated into five separate sections, each with their own individual species and cultures: the Celestial Realm, Infernal Realm, Mortal Realm, Oceanic Realm, and Winding Woods. Some are physically barred off to non-mythical creatures and require magical means to access these planes, but others can be physically entered.

The Celestial Realm is considered the "heavenly" plane to mortals, housing the majority of all celestial beings and being located impossibly high in the atmosphere. It is nested in cloudy kingdoms and is considered extremely cold to human standards; magical portals are required to enter this plane, but visitors tend to undergo strict security checks for safety measures. Misconceptions arise with the concept of divine entities, who do not actively reside in the Celestial Realm, and instead have angels, cherubs, etc. The Celestial Realm tends to have the image of being overbearingly demanding and have strong opinions on morality, embracing their moral high-grounds; it presents mostly as a business grounds and lacks many free residential sectors for visitors.

The Infernal Realm is considered the "hellish" plane to mortals, housing a widespread of demonic monsters and infernal beings; it is located deep in the core of the Maker's Earth. The realm is visibly rocky in terrain and presents closer to a giant kingdom inside of a cave, nicknamed Sin City. The vast kingdom provides means of casinos, brothels, drug vendors, and other debauch activities; its residents revel in the immoral side to their world, but gathers a terrible reputation from other realms. In the past, the Infernal Realm had been blocked off by mortals to keep demonic entities from ravaging the lands and have since been subject to racism against its people. Magical portals are required to enter this plane and is a popular spot for tourists.

The Mortal Realm is the landmasses of the Maker's Earth and where all normal animals, humans, and other land mythics live. This realm's name is a misnomer, considering all living creatures (regardless of mortality status) as being "mortals"; it is more symbolic for beings on land. It is the standard countries of our known Earth aside from coexistence of mythical beings, as well as differing countries (ie. Wallachia instead of Romania). The Mortal Realm contains the subsection of the Winding Woods, despite it being considered a completely separate plane and originally shared its umbrella-term name with oceanic beings before separating. Traditional means of transportation can be used within the Mortal Realm, but outsiders will require a magical portal to enter; the Mortal Realm has the largest sector for portal control.

The Oceanic Realm is all collective spaces where sea creatures reside; it houses all fish, aquatic beings, and monsters. It originally was considered a part of the Mortal Realm until a definitive separation decades ago; now, the Oceanic Realm consists of seven major kingdoms based on the oceans, each one with minor subsections based on the seas. Given its vast expanse, the realm has an extremely diverse ecosystem based on location and depth- with some environments so deep in the ocean that mortals cannot survive the darkness, pressure or temperatures. Certain locations can be visited superficially with reinforced glass tubes that can be physically entered and explored, usually reserved for tropical underwater cities; deeper cities require a magical spell to breathe, as well as special submarines to take mortals to those depths. The Oceanic Realm has strict protections against the mortals for their citizens and sea creatures and representatives visit the Mortal Realm often to enforce their laws with the Universal Organization of Peace and Ethics (UOPE).

The Winding Woods is a subsection of the Mortal Realm, housing traditional elves, fairies, draum, and other fair folk species. These woods are superficially located in the Eastern European region, around the Wallachian, Bulgarian and Serbian area; however, the woods act as a pocket dimension shrouded entirely with magic. The fair folk created these woods as a safe haven from humans centuries ago and mask the wildlife with a powerful, hallucinogenic magic that keeps unwanted intruders out. Outsiders can request access to the magical plane, which allows insider residents to lower the magical barrier for special visitors. Residents of the Winding Woods tend to be extremely defensive and independent, rejecting the idea of the outside world for their overall safety.
