Journey Beyond

Four orphans, struggling to survive in a sprawling city full of danger.

Hugo, Iron, Lew and Jeter are a scruffy group of Abraxians (winged cats) that never stay in one place for more than a year. They go from city to city, island to island, and love travelling more than anything. But one year, there is a call for forces to fight in the war. Jeter, the oldest, is drafted for th front line and has to leave his younger siblings. Will they be able to survive without him?

Iron is determined to wait for Jeter to come back, and refuses to leave the city. She and her brother, Lew, will protect Hugo, the youngest, with their lives, and work in a filthy cotton factory to feed him. They can't fly yet, but when they can, they will be invaluable to the work force, being able to get up to places others can't, and move quickly. But ntil then, they're stuck on a loaf of stale bread a day.
