Vivencia

In 2068, a rag-bag bunch of clowns come together in a less-than-idyllic world to bring joy back to the people. Circuses become more popular as people escape the world in preference of a colorful, high-energy fantasy. One circus group in particular, Vivencia, becomes world-renowned for its performers, which have become like celebrities in a world where movies and television just don't provide the same thrill anymore. This massive semi-traveling circus, now equatable to the popularity of Disney World, brings joy to the joyless all over the globe. This theatrical world is ruled by an ex-politician who treats his performers well and thus Vivencia continues to grow, as performers from smaller circuses leave them to join. Vivencia is not only the name of this circus, but also the name of a town in America that is populated almost entirely by Vivencia's performers. They go here to rest, retire, recoup and reproduce. As performers have their babies here, they grow into Vivencia's world and find their own talents to contribute.

The Mayor, of course, is the owner of the circus. One of the first performers in Vivencia, Boogle the clown, travels city to city on her own to infiltrate smaller circuses - which are often run in poor conditions by terrible people - and bring abused and exhausted performers to her world. She also finds those who may not have a theatrical skill, but who are willing to learn and need an escape.
