The Outlaw Scarlet.

Left alone at a very young age, Scarlet and Felix spent the first 18 years of their lives in an orphanage. Nobody can afford two whole kids, so they unfortunately fell through the cracks and were never adopted. Outgrowing the age limit for the orphanage and with little options, Felix got a job at the town stable and Scarlet a job at the general store. Even with both their meager salaries, the pair only really had enough money for rent at the towns inn, so Scarlet took to stealing from her job. Small things like apples or cans of food. She was no expert thief, however, and was eventually caught. She spent a few nights in jail, and when she got out, Felix had to reveal that he had also lost his job at the stables. He had gotten fairly friendly with another one of the stable workers and the pair had been caught. People looked at them both differently after that, one a thief and the other a now outed gay man. Safe to say things werent going their way.

With only enough money for two, maybe three, weeks rent left, things were looking dire. But yknow what they say, when you hit rock bottom the only way out is up.

Luck would come in the form of an outlaw running into Scarlet. This stranger, having attempted to rob one of the stores in town, was on the run from the police, and when Scarlet was asked which way she went, Scarlet would point them in the wrong direction. 

This stranger, thankful but curious about why this random lady had vouched for her, introduced herself as Ophelia. Scarlet's talk with her was cut short, since Ophelia was a little Busy trying not to get arrested (or shot), but Ophelia could see that Scarlet was down on her luck, and suggested that they meet back up at 2am at lone tree just outside of town
