The Zora are an intelligent humanoid species that thrive in the waters of Hyrule. The most commonly known Zora are the Freshwater Zora, those that reside along the Rutala River and within Zora's Domain. Their architectural prowess is unrivaled, and have mastered the art of silver smithing, mixing the precious metal with their own glimmering scales to imbue the metal with magical properties. It is common for female Zora to train in the art of healing when they reach puberty, as their precious lightscales provide a strangely therapeutic quality to any water they are infused with- this being the origin of the tradition of brides making their grooms armour sets made from their very own scales to protect them in combat. The Zora, often living twice the lifespan of Hylians, are incredibly intelligent and typically understand multiple languages, as well as having a penchant for recording as much history as their awareness can recall. That being said, they can't seem to shake the quite posh sounding accents no matter how hard they try. Unless they were a saltwater Zora... in which case... you'd be lucky they spoke Common at all.
