The Akkalans are some of the most fearsome folk you'll find in Hyrule. They are a proud and ancient group that is as close to the normal Hylian as the Gerudo are, as well as historically being at conflict with the Kingdom of Hyrule's forces, which is widely believed to be the reason for the construct of the Akkalan Citadel. Despite this antagonism with the most common inhabitant of the continent, they are incredibly friendly on the seas, sharing them with the Yanlin and Lurelin. The Akkalans are dominant over water, helped by the fact that they just happen to on average grow several feet taller and bulkier than a Hylian. They have a rough bite to their accent, due to their preference to speak their own language over the Hylian common.
