Royals of Hell

A story built on a dream, Hell is the setting for this universe and it's nothing like you'd imagine it.

What hell looked like: It was gorgeous, blue sky, grassy with strange hills and cliffs the landscape was expansive with futuristic transit systems cleanly crossing the land.

Terms

Oracles: can foresee who's coming to hell, and what their powers will be.

Rainbow Wings: No, Royals are just folks who died and were either committed crimes so heinous they were too damn powerful, were the top of their field, or were handpicked by death or a judge.

All "new bloods" are boring humans, but they shift the longer they live in hell.

Broken Wings: People who went to or could’ve went to heaven but decided to go to hell for some reason or another. Can fast track through the redemption program or talk to death to be allowed back into heaven.

Forms, Death, and Powers

A demon's powers are based around what they did on earth that brought them down there.

Other demons have wings, but only the royals have the massive form with rainbow wings and tails.

Anyone in hell can die again, but they essentially "respawn" after a few days if their soul goes uncaptured.

Naming conventions:

Tau, Sarah, Farsung, and Nathaniel are a few examples of demons who decided not to change their names once arriving in Hell. It is commonplace for demons to ditch their original names and make up a new one, though some will use nicknames given to them in hell after being called it for long enough.

Markings and permanent forms:
Demons deemed dangerous and non-mentally impaired, like malicious rapists like Kraven, or creepy puppets like Sketch, are given either markings or a permanent form to separate them out from the other demons.
It's a little warning to newbloods and a sort of status symbol, giving away their powerful souls.
