Fruit Salad

Placeholder name. Maybe they'll become a whole magical girl team and I'll come up with a plot for them?

These could be considered my very first completely-original OCs. I came up with this bunch of fruit-themed fairy girls, based initially on these scented Mr. Sketch markers I had as a kid, starting with my favorite fruit: Apple. I think I might have had other fruit girl drawings back then, but if I did, only Apple survived. Through her many incarnations she's remained the main character, and even had a little sour-apple sister like Rini/Sailor Mini Moon in her first iteration. 

Next was Strawberry, for whom I think I stole some homework from Strawberry Shortcake on the first pass. 

Third was Lemon because I like lemon flavored desserts and candy.

And then came the rest - sometimes I just gotta make a whole group of characters about it. Once again, I was keeping in line with Strawberry Shortcake as the main source of inspiration for the group, but I was also throwing in magical girl stuff like Rainbow Brite, Tokyo Mew Mew, and Sailor Moon. My own concept was a sort of modernization/combination of all of these things where all these fruit girls were going to fruit high school and getting up to some fruit magic hijinks.

I did a major redesign of Apple in 2021, so the rest of the girls could all use an update to match. Maybe a better story concept will come with!
