I. APOCHRYA, THE WORLD OF LIGHT AND SHADOWS

Avaler and Ouroboros, two bored entities, are in an eternal cyclical "war". They use human-kind, beast-kind, and spirits as their pieces in an elaborate game. The world called Apochrya,stuck in a constant loop of destruction and recreation, always ends the same: with a stalemate. As the pieces die, others are recreated over and over in their place. Despite this, their system is one of fairness and control. Lost lives are replaced; anarchy never truly arises.

One day, the loop is broken by a virus.

A parasite.
