I knew it was going to hurt, but I didn't think it would hurt this bad. It's been difficult trying to come to terms with the fact that he is now gone, leaving a big fluffy black hole in my heart. While I can say I feel lucky that this is the worst pain I've ever been in up till this point, it still fucking hurts so much.
We spent 15 years together, but it'll never be enough. We grew up together, but it was hard to see as I grew up, he grew old. It feels like one of the last pieces of my childhood is gone as I turn 24 next month. It's going to be so hard not seeing his fluffy tail around the corner and being spooked by him in a dark room. Through this heartache, at least I'll know that he won't be in pain anymore and that he can rest peacefully. I'll keep forever with me my memories of his feisty temper and his gluttonous appetite, and his big fluffy belly and those bright blue-green eyes full of life.
Let's meet again someday, my most precious friend. ❤️

my beloved kitty boy is dying,, he's been sick for a while now but i haven't been able to come to terms with how ill he's been. his eye was turning milky and now it's fully gone, covered by pus. it's too painful for him to eat and he often coughs up food, he quivers while walking and his hyperthyroidism is preventing him from gaining any weight.
i feel so awful for selfishly keeping him here because i couldn't come to terms with losing such a big part of my life but i can't let him go of suffering anymore...
