Dawnclan is one of the two warrior clans that dwells west of the human town Kelton, in the foothills and valleys beneath Mount Sleettop. Although they initially lived further west in the Riverlands they were forced east by Duskclan closer to town, which has forced them to become more adaptable and hardier in their sparse territory. Dawnclan is much less strict about outside influences and many within the clan have mixed heritage from town cats; they also have a more democratic system of power in which leaders are voted in from one of three deputies.
The current leader of Dawnclan is Magpiestar, who led the clan to their new territory seasons ago. She became the youngest leader in clan history when she succeeded Sleetstar and the stress of her position has created a heavy toll. Her three deputies compose of the thoughtful and fierce Morningclaw, the friendly and practical Boartusk and Willowwind, a young prodigy. The clan currently has five fully named healers and one apprentice led by primary healer Ramwhisker, a crass yet patient tom who's experienced is rivalled by no one.
Dawnclan's Camp
It’s situated in the footfills of Mount Sleettop, near a collection of thermal pools some distance from the rivers that mark the end of their territory.
The main den, where the whole of the clan sleeps is situated in a cave in the side of the mountain. It looks out eastwards towards the rising sun over the sea. Moss, wool and downy feathers are used to cushion nests between the rocks and further into the dark of the cave glowworms adorn the ceiling, which the clan considers a sign of Starclan's prescence.
A ridge formed by mountainous rock forms a high advantage point for the leader to host meetings and overlook the activity of the clan. The healer's den (not pictured) is situated in a large hollow log resting by/over the edge of the pools, although it is only used for sleep when a cat has a contagious sickness or is gravely ill/injured.

Magpiestar
Magpiestar was the youngest leader in clan history at the time of her election. The pressures of leading her clan for the bulk of her life and during such times of strife have aged her greatly and her stress has been reduced to a sense of constant exhaustion.
Primary Healer
Ramwhisker is the third oldest cat and most experienced healer in the clans. He has a crass sense of humour but has gained patience and kindness with age.
Oldest Deputy
Morningstorm
Morningstorm was Magpiestars controversial choice of deputy upon her election (because he killed Burningstar, the previous Duskclan leader, as he was healing). He is externally cold but is surprisingly patient in his role of overseeing apprentice training.
