the OCs in this folder belong to a story I made up in middleschool years ago (I think I was 12 or something) which, one might notice, is inspired by your cliché romance comedy fantasy shōjo so don't take any of these guys too seriously. The writing and especially naming(!!) isn't exceptional. Forgive any plot holes or confusing descriptions it's not ment to be more than collection of different designs really. I'm just happy to finally have a place to put this down and look at :V
The magic world (best name, I know) has always been ruled by several clans/families. Successors of each clan inherit an unique power necessary to secure the fragile hierarchy between them. Originally the clan able to bring forth the most skilled successor got to rule over the others - a role the majority of the clans wish to undertake. For a long time this task fell to the flower clan (10/10 naming, sorry) which brought up lines of powerful kings and queens in the magic world for centuries by now. Unwilling to give up their position yet but at the same time unsure if they're able to keep it, the flower clan hides it's youngest prince in the human world to buy time. While the trust between the clans decreases more and more, each of them is working on a plan to take over power...
Or: When Ikumi looses her job she has no choice but to move to a shared apartment. Little does she know she stumbled directly into the arms of the magic world's current prince and his bodyguard.
Ikumi's life is a mess, not only does she seem to be all alone in this world with her grandparents beeing on a world trip and her big brother wandering off to somewhere, now she also lost her job and place to stay. Good thing she quickly found an affordable shared appartment with people her age that aren't weird!! Like at all!!!
Zuomo is the youngest prince of the flower clan hiding in the human world. He's usually taking care of plants or roaming around the house or... what else does he even do? Ikumi isn't sure and she's also not sure why Zuomo is not allowed to leave the house alone or why this guy needs a bodyguard. What a weirdo.
Akara is a member of the flower clan and has been Zuomo's bodyguard since he can remember. He seems to be very cautious around people he doesn't know. Ikumi is quite a bit intimidated of him at first but he's a great cook and tends to clean up after Ikumi as well, so as long as he doesn't overdo it as he does with Zuomo what is there to complain?
JB Somehow ended up at Ikumi's new home as well. Though "Somehow" rather means he unsuccessfully tried to abduct Zuomo and never left afterwards. As everybody else he also has that weird magician thing going on but hey at least he's fun to talk to and doesn't seem to be as strange as the other two.
Moro is Zuomo's big halfbrother who usually stays in the magic world. Luckily. You wouldn't want this guy at your house even for a short visit. He's rude, humorless, way too tight up, complains about everything and seems to look down on everybody, especially Ikumi and JB for some reason. Ikumi suspects he probably cares for Zuomo? But his way of showing it is terrible actually.
Alnor is one of the successors of the magic world's Dream clan (great name once again). Ikumi has no idea what this guy's issue is and why he keeps showing up at their house causing them trouble. He seems to have some kind of special beef with Moro (who can blame him though?) but how is this even Akara, Zuomo and especially Ikumi's problem?
Sunny seems to be Alnor's assistant as he usually sticks around whenever Alnor causes trouble. He seems a little lazy and doesn't do much but gets all fired up when he gets the chance to talk about his wife Moona. He's quite stylish and seems interesting to talk to but it's not like you'd get the chance to talk your opponent's evil henchman every day.
Moona is a ghost living at Alnor's place. Luckily she usually isn't involved in Alnor's mischief because if she was it probably would be a lot harder to deal with than it already is. Moona is strong willed and clever but also tends to be quite creepy at times. She only has eyes for her husband Sunny who does absolutely everything she says.
