Story AU in feudal japan revolving around large monster beasts who live amongst humans. Some beasts towering up to two stories high over a normal human. The strongest families and blood-lines amongst these beasts are often known to gaurd and look after ancient shrines and temples that carry valuble information or items. Sometimes this honor is only passed down from heir to heir and some blood-lines have only ever protected one shrine for over hundereds of generations.
