1. toggle on the setting Enable Code Editor. this can be found under the Display Settings, and in the Editor Settings box.

2. second step is to toggle off Profile Text. this can be found under Display Settings, and in the WYSIWYG Settings box.

3. when you go to a characters profile, it should now have a grey box (might depend on your theme) that has numbers to the left at each line. if all of these things match up, you can now put codes on your characters profile!
