Welcome to the Serptail Masterlist account! Serptails are a closed species fantribe set in the world of Tui T. Sutherland's series Wings of Fire. This account is the collaboration of multiple individuals running the species, whom you can find linked below.

The purpose of this masterlist is to keep all ownerships of designs from this species organized. This way, scams are easily detectable. Additionally, all designs are researchable through the characters section of the account.

WHAT IS A FANTRIBE?

For the uninitiated, a fantribe, or fanflight, is a fan-made classification created to fill a role in the dedicated world. In this particular instance, tribes are the classification of dragons in the Wings of Fire books. These fan-made species usually exist in an alternative universe set within the same world limitations.

Locations and pre-existing canon material exist, but alterations such as timelines, technological advancement, organization of civilizations, and so on are adjusted. Some other popular fan tribes in the Wings of Fire fantribe community include Peakwings, Hoodwings, and Soleiwings. RunicWings are non-WoF, but also definitely worth checking out.

Peakwings are considered a sister tribe that co-exists in the same universe as Serptails. There are some Serptail-Peakwing hybrids on this masterlist from our staff collaborating. Our tribe is more on the relaxed side of lore, so restrictions on what stories you want to tell with your Serptails are entirely up to you within reason.
