Heart of Glass - Cabtree Remix
Power Rangers: (The Fall?)
"Lets go Rangers!"
- RATING: pg?
- GENRE(S): Sci-Fi/Action
- WARNINGS: cartoon violence, themes of manipulation
Setting:
Alt timeline. Zordon/Elarians defeated rita and lord zodd centuries ago, the elarians/rangers posted around the galaxy ended up staying as general peacekeepers and protectors. Some planets eventually got back to their own regular infighting and invading, crime still existed; it was just unorganised and personal. Elar decided to ‘fix’ the problem by using the rangers again but to subtly enforce their own ideas, eventually stepping in and taking over the planet as part of their empire. Whoever was in power at the time could more or less do what they wanted with all that power but they would still preach that ‘for the peace’ motto and send out more and more trainers/squads. Some mixed or already made, others made fresh from the planet's inhabitants, depending on how involved the planet was in space affairs already.
Current time, planet earth (no outer-planet contact). ‘Mentor’ sent 3 years ago:
The first couple ‘arcs’ are pretty light. The rangers find Zaenir one day when their bus breaks down in a tunnel. They each get split and lost from the main bus group and accidentally find their way down a maintenance shaft that leads them to his base. Zaenir introduces them to the Elarians and they tell them it's ‘fate’ and convince them to come back and/or join the rangers to ‘protect what's good and right on earth’. There's a bunch of arcs with regular ‘villains’ and the team learning their powers and how to work together.
To summerise badly what happens next:
Not everything stays sunshines and roses, some of the rangers are sick of the way the Elarians treat them and expect them to act. Black eventualy leaves. The others are told they died, the Elarians recuit a new ranger (White) who is definitely way too young.
Black isn't dead and the rangers find out exactly what the Elarians are up to. It all goes to shit.
